Selected winners of the We Sing Pop! Song contest 2018 have performed at the Isaac Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall on June 8, 2019 at 12:00 PM, as a part of American Protégé Summer Gala Concert 2019

First Place Winners

Ellen Shieh is a 22 year old singer-songwriter and violinist from Irvine. She loves writing her own music, and wrote a ballad and duet called “Circles” for the Olive Crest foster youth, now on Apple Music. Her EDM collaboration with MVSE, “Be Together” is also on Spotify. She was the overall winner as well as the people’s choice of her college, “Soulstice,” which is UCI’s talent competition. She placed concertmaster (1st chair in violin) and numerous 1st places since 5 years old, all throughout Southern California and 6 east Asian countries (Jakarta, Manila, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur). Currently, she performs for those experiencing homelessness at Newsong Church every month, where a grand feast is prepared for those in Santa Ana. She currently works at Irvine Agape Church, as a worship leader, youth leader, and teaches violin privately. She hopes to pursue a career in music, and to give back to churches, communities experiencing homelessness, and the foster youth. pop music competition, singing competition, singing auditions Kayla Silverman is a 16 year-old singer/songwriter from Weston, MA.  Kayla performed in 26 theater productions and musicals. Notable roles include “Cosette” in Les Misérables, Soloist in Godspell and “Belle” in Beauty and The Beast.  Kayla is classically trained and recently passed the Certificate examination from ABRSM with Distinction and hopes to obtain her diploma in 2019.  Kayla has also been singing and composing pop songs.  She released her EP of original songs titled I Believe.  She also wrote and produced a duet titled Outside Looking In which was named “Best Song” by the 2018 Los Angeles Film Award.  Other of her original songs were recognized in a variety of songwriting competitions including Goodbye For Now, Sisters Before Misters, and Mind Games. In addition to many festivals in Boston and around Massachusetts, Kayla performed hour-long solo performances in venues such as “The Cutting Room” and “The Bitter End” in NYC.  
Nijjaree  Dusitsoonthornkul was born in Phichit, Thailand in 2008.  She is in grade 5 at Phichit Primary School. In 2017, she passed the audition to join We Kid Thailand Season1, the TV program on the workpoint channel in Thailand. In 2018 , she  got gold trophy singing award from Asia Pacific Arts Festival in Singapore. Furthermore, she was awarded  the National Outstanding Youth Award in 2018 and she was chosen to  be the Young Ambassador of Virtue from the Young Ambassador of  Virtue Foundation.

Annabelle Zusin has been learning piano and singing since she was 5 years old, with her teacher, Alexander Budyonny, from Pelham School of Piano. Currently she is 14 and attending 8th grade in Pelham NY. She has performed in numerous concerts, yearly Pelham Music Festivals, and has been selected from her school to participate in All-County Chorus Performance in 2016 and 2017. Annabelle was invited to attend National Children’s Chorus program in 2018-2019 season. She loves to sing her own variations of popular songs, and accompany herself on the piano. Annie also plays percussions for the school orchestra. Annabelle is excited to be performing at Carnegie Hall, as she is looking to make singing a big part of her life and career.

Chatthaphol Wongwanitthawee, fourteen, comes from Bangkok, Thailand. His awards include the Join Singing Contest for TV Show, The Trainer 5 (2013); 3rd place in E.B.O. Junior Singing Contest (2014); 2nd place in E.B.O. Junior Singing Contest (2015); Royal Cup HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (2016), 1st place E.B.O. Junior Singing Contest (2016); Royal Cup HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (2016), 1st place E.B.O. Group Singing Contest (2016); 1 golden, 4 silver, 3 bronze, 1 best costume award, 1 division winner trophy from U.S.A. in 2016 WCOPA’s junior 10-12 years category; 3 golden, 1 silver, 5 bronze, 1 industry award, 2 division winner trophies from U.S.A. in 2017 WCOPA’s junior 13-15 years category. In 2018, he also won a golden trophy from Asia Pacific Arts Festival in Singapore and Join Singing Contest for TV Show, The Next Boy/Girl Band Thailand.

Isabelle Wong, 13, born in Dubai, UAE, now lives in Singapore. The church spotted her talent for singing preparing her for a Christmas musical and soon she found herself loving the stage and winning competitions. At age 7, she had already won national and international competitions. Her most memorable win was her representing Singapore to compete at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Hollywood, USA. She won the Division Champion for all 4 singing categories in the under 10- year old division. Since then, she had the privilege to perform for Singapore Ministry of Education, Singapore Youth Festival and lately local production house Wild Rice! as a cast member of an original musical “Monkey Goes West” and as ChildAid 2016 lead vocalist.
