We Sing Pop! Song Contest 2019 Results

Selected winners of the We Sing Pop! Song contest 2019 will have an opportunity to perform at the Isaac Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall on June 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM, as a part of American Protégé Summer Gala Concert 2020.
First Place Winners

Annie Li is an 8th grader in middle school from Sammamish, Washington. Annie loves singing, dancing, and performances in general. Annie started singing since she was four years old and has been taking voice lessons since seven. Annie has been active in singing competitions in the Pacific Northwest and has won numerous awards. In 2017, Annie won first place at National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Puget Sound Region Voice Competition for her age group. In the same year, she also won first place at Performance Arts Festival of Eastside (PAFE) Voice Competition. In 2018, Annie won 2nd place at the Chinese Central TV Station (CCTV) youth signing competition and was invited to Beijing to compete in the final competition. In 2019, she won first place at the Seattle Chinese Talent Show Singing Competition. In 2019, Annie was invited to perform at CCTV Musical Express TV Show. |

Sarah Syazlina, a 14-year-old student and show choir member in Regent Secondary School, embarked her journey as a performer when she was given the opportunity to sing, dance and act in Wild Rice Production in 2015 and 2016. Sarah Syazlina participated in a Solo singing contest for Juara Mic Junior under Eagle Vision Production, Mediacorp Suria in 2017 to boost up her confidence and clinched 3rd Place. She went to Hong Kong to participate in another singing competition for Asian Students Arts Festival early this year and managed to clinch 2nd runner up. Sarah was invited to have her own singing show at Esplanade Singapore for a Children’s Day event (Good Vibes with Sarah Syazlina) in October this year and genuinely interacted with the audiences. Today, Sarah Syazlina remains to be a passionate young talent who aspires to be inspired. |
Syah Riszuan, 14 years old, is a talented young singer and actor who has been making waves in Singapore. He has been performing since he was 6 years old and has won every singing competition since his first competition in 2012. He was the Grand Champion of Popstar of the Year 2018 and in the same year, Champion for Asian Dreamerz Teens 2018 competing against regional young talents from Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philipines. He won over the judges of Asia Got Talent Season 2 with his smooth rendition of “It’s a Man’s Man’s World”. He has performed in ChildAid, a national fund raiser concert organised by the Singapore Press Holding, for three years. This year, he is one of the lead singers in Singapore’s National Day Parade 2019, singing a part in the theme song, Our Singapore. |

Kantrapee Piriyapul, from Thailand, is 10 years old and has been singing since she was 5. She won many Top Prizes of international competitions in 2018. She won numerous First Place Winners from Salzburg Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition 2018 in Salzburg Austria, American Portege’ International Music Competition 2018 at Carnegie Hall New York in December and HKYPAF International Music Competition 2018 -2019 in Hongkong as the first place with the Gold Medal as well. She has passed the ABRSM Grade 1 and 3 Exams in Classical singing with distinction and Merit and she has also passed the Trinity Grade2 Exam in pop and rock with distinction and special high score award. In 2017 she has participated in Wekidthailand on TV Program in Thailand as a singer.

Leevia Wang, 8 years old, has been performing in the Microsoft Asian Spring Festival Gala and the Seattle Chinese Spring Festival Gala. In 2018, she was awarded the Rising Star in the 2nd CCTV Starlight Youth Talent Show in Beijing. In 2019, she received three scholarships respectively in singing, drawing and poem recitation in Washington State Chinese Competition, won the 1st place in China Water-Cube Cup Singing Competition in the Greater Seattle area and a 2nd place (Broadway/Musical Theatre Repertoire Category) in American Protégé International Vocal Competition. She also performs classical Chinese dance and Chinese folk dance, has been modeling at Zulily, and is currently in the Cut.com casting system. Additionally, she loves to help at many non-profit organizations and received the President’s Volunteer Service Award in 2019. Leevia is eager to become a pop star in the future.

Sienna Therrien Sternfeld is a talented and passionate singer her entire life. Her voice, larger, stronger and more powerful than anyone would expect from a child, carries those who listen. Sienna is a true artist. Singing, dancing, acrobatics and circus art, all has been so natural to her. She is extremely happy to attend FACE, a school nurturing artistic talent in Montreal Island. She has been a student of Broadway Academy in the past 2 years now. During this time, she had an opportunity to perform songs from The Greatest Showman, LALALand as well as Rumpleteaser in Broadway Academy concert version of Cats, the musical. She has been featured in movies and videos of famous bands. She is grateful for having never ending support for her musical passion from her beloved family. |
