Adam Mombru is a 17 year old from London. He is a King’s Scholar and Music Scholar at Eton College, and although primarily an instrumentalist (currently as clarinetist at the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and formerly a student at the Royal College of Music Junior Department), he has sung as an untrained vocalist in school and church choirs until 2015, when he started taking lessons for the first time. He has a passion for jazz, theatrical, and pop music, and as a baritone, has adapted a semi-falsetto to suit the demands of these genres. Varsha Krishnamoorthy, 15 years old, from Singapore, has been surrounded by music from a young age. She began training in Carnatic music, at the age of 5. When she was 9, Varsha’s dad’s job took their family from America to China, where she developed her artistry by learning to play western guitar. After moving to Singapore in 2015, she decided to plunge deeper into music, so she started her formal training in pop and rock music at Aureus Academy. She has since cleared Grade 3 in Trinity Rock and Pop Vocal, and has taken the Grade 4 exam. Varsha is a lead role in her school’s musical production, and is also a part of her school’s choir.
